Engaged
The project sponsor and acting on the invitation of the Egyptian Mining and Resources Authority ('EMRA') is requesting $900M ± (USD) to open and operate a Phosphorus refining plant to be located at the Safaga (Abu Tartour) Red Sea seaport. The sponsor also provides engineering services to global mining and manufacturing industries. A strategic decision to locate the project to the Safaga (Abu Tartour) Seaport (the 'Safaga Mining Port') is highlighted, emphasizing the optimization of economic and technical aspects. This location leverages existing infrastructure, reduces logistical costs, and capitalizes on proximity to major markets, positioning the project for streamlined logistics and enhanced competitiveness. The operation will, upon completion, process ~ 700,000 tons per year of phosphoric acid to be sold on the global fertilizer market to aid the ever-expanding need for food production. This operation is targeted in the growing African agriculture industry. The sponsors have invested over $10M cash to date, and are committed to investing another $45M upon delivery of an acceptable term sheet. Agreements have been reached with world-class EPC and specialist contractors for this project whose forward-looking proforma’s indicate a highly-profitable operation.
